American Adventures

July 22nd
A spontaneous decisions was made to book a flight to America with the wonderful man in my life. Flying to Montreal and then driving across the Canadian boarder into Vermont to join his family in their beautiful home.

July 23rd

Jet lag struck...only to enlighten us to an early start of ATV riding through the forest trails. A beautiful first day in the beautiful Vermont.

July 24th
Another early start, but this time to prepare for our hike up Jay Peak - a resort in the Green mountains , between the village of Jay and Montgomery Center. An hour hike through the forest to reveal a 360 view,  looking out across the whole of Vermont. We imbibed the view over lunch at the peak of the mountain; sandwiches and brownies...yum!

July 25th
Blue skies and a beaming sunshine called for a lazy day by the pool and the pond! Riding the ATV's to the neighbors house to swim in their pond was a first of many things i experienced on this trip, but not one I will forget!

Since today marked a special day for my man and I, a sunset bike ride concluded our day. Only to come home to the most delicious, mouth watering pie! Best. Day. Ever.

July 26th
Another day, another hike. This time in the sunny town of Stowe, driving up a long windy toll road to top where we had a picnic with a hell of a view!

July 27th

Rainy, lazy, movie day. Perfect.

July 28th

A rainy day in Vermont called for a trip to Burlington, a beautiful town but also the largest state in Vermont.

Pie in the sky...best pizza you'll ever try.

Followed by Ben and Jerry's ice cream and a walk up the high street with the love of my life.

July 29th
We were awoken by the beaming sunshine into our bedroom, my lover and i packed sandwiches and embarked up another mountain, Burnt. A much longer hike, but so worth the isolated picnic spot at the top with a view that reached for miles.

July 30th

My last full day in America was filled with happiness and smiles. Having a BBQ and fun in the garden with family.

This trip across the world has by far been an experience i will never forget and i feel so blessed to have been able to spend it with the love of my life.
